Power Post: Pizza

July 15th, 2009  |  Published in Out on the Town  |  3 Comments

What is a Power Post, you ask? Sort of like a power nap–quick, yet effective, refreshing, always worth the short time spent, and leaving you wanting more. Reader, meet my newest blog concept. I often compose lengthy and descriptive blog posts telling a story about an entertaining experience or venue, upcoming event, or Rebeccammended recipe or party idea, but I believe a little snippet of info about an entertainment idea can be just as effective. In an effort to zap you with the first Power Post of many, here you go!

You'll have to try Salvation Pizza yourself to validate this Rebeccammendation. This picture doesn't event do it justice.

Power Post: Pizza

When your day has been rough and you are looking for a release in fresh, tasty, crispy, thin, flavorful, and high quality pizza, go to Salvation Pizza at 624 W. 34th Street.  Just north of the UT campus, this red wooden house bakes their pizza pies as ordered, using the freshest ingredients, producing the most satisfying, yet not over-filling taste. If you’re gonna go for pizza, make every bite worth it and go for quality.

I first wrote about Salvation here, but just recently made another visit, and felt the need to re-emphasize its goodness, and provide an enticing visual to convince you if you are a never-has-been.

It was yummy, but I’m still torn between Salvation and Home Slice. OH and Home Slice sells a t-shirt that has an elephant eating pizza. We need to buy it.

Salvation Pizza is great, particularly the al fresco dining option. Just watch that you don’t trip over the tykes, as it’s a popular family spot.
