OMG childhood memories. I LOVED when my mom made baked brie! I’m going to forward her this post and ask if her recipe is the same…and then make it for a party someday soon. Thanks for the reminder, Rebecca!

Guess my memory is a bit spotty. I checked with my mom and this was her response:
I am thinking…what baked brie is she talking about?.. She has wonderful memories of baked brie, yet I have never made baked brie in my life..then I read the recipe and realized that you loved my baked Gouda!!
It is similar to the recipe you had but mine is:
large pillsubury crescent rolls
round gouda cheese ball….if it has the red wax on the outside, then remove.
Take two of the crescent dough pieces, roll out and put in an 8 inch pie pan. Cut up cheese in pieces and place on the dought. Then cover with the remaining dough pieces and pinch the sides. Brush with beaten egg white and a bit of water. Sprinkle poppy seeds or sesame seeds on top. Bake for 20 minutes at 350.
