Crispy Baked Falafel Recipe – Not Fried

As I mentioned earlier, we’re looking to eat more veggie-forward, so we’re challenging ourselves to make filling options that satiate our appetites. We came across these Baked Homemade Falafel patties from Just a Taste, and they were gone fast!

For a chilly fall day, this is the perfect lunch, snack, or dinner! They’re easy to make too and are full of flavor, with cumin, onions, parsley, and lemon. I could eat Mediterranean a-n-y time! The hardest part was being patient as we soaked dried chickpeas for 24 hours (actually, a little more). We made them one Saturday afternoon for a snack (mostly because we wanted to use the soaked chickpeas right when they were ready), dipped them in our favorite hummus, squeezed a couple drops of lemon on each bite and went to town. The cumin and crispy edges right out of the oven warmed us right up!

Add them to a pita, serve them over salads as a meat substitute, or just munch away. You’ll be fala-full in no time!
