If you happen to venture off from the massive Zilker ACL playground this weekend to reenergize or take a breather, be sure to check out the newest addition to the SoCo refreshment scene: Snack Bar.
Yes, that’s right, the prime spot for foot traffic, dining, and casual lounging on SoCo with an outdoor marquee that has sported the term “PATIENCE” for months now, opens this weekend!
A limited menu will be served at this diner and lounge from 9 am-2pm, and 6 pm-midnight starting this weekend. Breakfast is served all day, a lunch menu is available by day, and a lounge with drinks and international aperitif (light snacks) will welcome you with open arms at night. The menu will focus on local and organic ingredients, which fits right in with the SoCo vibe.
Shortly following the limited menu period, a full menu will be offered from 7 am- midnight every day! Snack Bar is located between Austin Motel and Jo’s Coffee on the west side of South Congress. Check it out and report back!

Also, keep your eye out for the 2nd location of New York-based Italian restaurant at 9th and Congress, Quattro Gatti. The store front just popped up, so it’s bound to open soon!
